began serving as our interim pastor on August 1, 2005. Rev. Callaway comes to us from Marina, California. He started preaching at age 9, licensed to preach at age 12 and ordained in November 1967. After serving one year as pastor of Dove Creek Baptist Church in Elberton, GA he entered the Air Force and served as a chaplain for 20 years, retiring in 1993. He then served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Pacific Grove, CA from September 1993 until February 2005.

     Pastor Callaway is a widower with three adult sons, two daughter-in-laws and two granddaughters.

      He graduated from high school in Odessa, TX in May 1965. He then attended Paul Quinn College, Waco, TX receiving a bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in 1969. He earned his Master of Divinity Degree in 1973 from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA.

      He enjoys jogging, bike riding, family time, gardening, community service, coaching under six soccer and working with senior citizens.
